San Carlo Gallery, in the historical center of Milan, was founded in 1981 by Gian Carlo de Magistris, who is also the artistic director of the gallery.
From the beginning the activity is mainly addressed to the great masters and avant-garde of twentieth century.
From January 2006 the gallery has opened the section “New Contemporary” with the main object of promoting Italian and international young artists.
The Art Gallery have a selection of historical paintings of Pierre Alechinsky, Karel Appel, Asger Jorn, Corneille, Lindstrom, Arman, Hans Hartung, A.R.Penck, Sam Francis, Mimmo Rotella, Josè de Guimaraes, Niki de Saint Phalle, Eduardo Arroyo, Andrè Nagel, Wifredo Lam, Sebastian Matta, Peter Klasen, Serge Vandercam. A special attention is for the Co.Br.A group.

“New Contemporary” represent works of Davide Bramante, Sandra Mann, Arash Radpour, Billy, Davide Sebastian, Heo Yang-Gu, Choo Jong-Wan.
The Gallery joins in international Art Fairs like Koln, Art Paris, Miart, ARCO, Art First, Gant and co-operates with other galleries in France, Spain, Belgium, Germany , and Holland.
She also collaborates with Museums and Public Institutions in organizing exhibitions. |
